Overview

One platform, built around your catalogue

Your inventory, website, sales, contacts, campaigns and events in one place. Every part works from the same records, so a piece is catalogued once and goes everywhere it needs to.

If it describes an item, it has a place in the record

Images and documents, title and maker, materials and dimensions, provenance and condition, where it is now, who owns it and whether it is available. Records are organised into sections, and you decide which sections each one has, which fields they hold and how the information is displayed.

Inventory structures

Track one object, numbered copies or stock by quantity

Some items exist once, some in numbered copies and some in quantities. A painting, an edition of 50 prints and 200 T-shirts in three sizes are counted differently, so each item is set up as one of four structures: tracked as a single object, as individual copies, or as quantities by location and variant. Every item has an SKU, your own reference code.

  1. 01

    Unique item

One object with its own images, condition and history.

  2. 02

    Edition

Shared details once; each numbered copy tracked on its own.

  3. 03

    Stock item

Interchangeable units, counted at each location.

  4. 04

    Item with variants

Sizes, colours or finishes, each with its own quantity.

Blueprints

Every type of item is recorded differently

A painting, a ring and a first pressing need different information. Art.Industries comes with predetermined blueprints for each industry: a ready-made set of sections and fields suited to what you sell.

Start from the one that fits, or create a blueprint of your own, fully custom to your industry. One workspace can use several at once.

Location and agreements

Know where everything is, who owns it and whether it’s available

Location, ownership and availability are kept as separate facts. A work can belong to an artist and hang in a gallery. A dress can be away on rental. An edition copy can sit with another dealer on consignment.

Unique items have one location and status, each edition copy has its own, and stock and variants are counted by location: galleries, studios, shops, storage or a temporary address.

Incoming and outgoing consignments

Record items placed with you by an artist, collector or business, and items you place with a gallery, dealer or fair. One consignment can hold one item or many. Contracts can be generated from the record and kept with it.

Exhibition and institutional loans

Lend work to a museum, gallery or exhibition. The agreement records the borrower, destination, dates and documents. Ownership does not change.

Production loans

Lend artworks, furniture, clothing or props to a film, television, theatre production or photo shoot, with every piece still identifiable in your inventory.

Rentals

Rent garments, jewellery, furniture or design objects for a set period, using an agreement suited to the arrangement rather than an art consignment.

Multilingual records

Keep approved titles and descriptions in each language

Translation goes beyond the app’s menus. Each record has a place for its title and description in every language you work in, so the wording you approve is the wording that appears, rather than a fresh machine translation each time.

When you prepare a presentation or PDF, choose its language. A Korean collector receives the Korean title and description, while a client in Paris receives the French. Every version stays attached to the same item, images and history.
