Jewellery and Watches

For jewellers, watch dealers, designers and specialist retailers. Two pieces that look similar can differ in metal purity, stone origin, movement, serial number, treatment and certification. Art.Industries gives each piece a record built for those details, alongside its ownership, condition, location and commercial history.

Why it is managed differently

Materials carry the value

Metal type, purity, weight and hallmarks reveal more than a simple material label. They help describe what the piece contains and support its identification and valuation.

  • Metals
  • Purity
  • Hallmarks

Stones need their evidence

Natural and laboratory-grown stones may be described by origin, treatment, cut, colour, clarity and carat. Certificates and grading details remain with the piece they describe.

  • Stone origin
  • Treatment
  • Grading details

A watch has machinery inside

Brand and model are only the beginning. Movement, calibre and complications describe how the watch works, while service and repair history show how it has been maintained.

  • Movement
  • Calibre
  • Service history

Numbers establish identity

Reference, serial, case and certificate numbers help distinguish one piece from another. Recording them carefully supports authentication, service enquiries and later changes of ownership.

  • Reference number
  • Serial number
  • Certificates
Answers

For Jewellery and Watches

Can natural and laboratory-grown stones be identified separately?

Yes. Origin and treatment information can form part of the stone record, alongside cut, colour, clarity, carat, inclusions and grading documentation.

Can certificates be kept with the piece?

Yes. Certificates and other supporting documents can be attached to the relevant record, together with their identifying numbers and the specifications they support.

Can I record watch servicing and repairs?

Yes. Service dates, repair information, replaced parts and supporting documents can be kept with the watch rather than stored in a separate customer-service system.

Can I use the same workspace for modern and antique pieces?

Yes. Blueprints are flexible: add as many fields as you need to cover both your modern and your antique pieces.
