Furniture

For furniture studios, manufacturers, showrooms and trade suppliers managing contemporary pieces in production. One design may be offered in several sizes, materials, finishes and upholstery options, each with its own price and lead time. Art.Industries keeps the shared design and its orderable versions together.

Why it is managed differently

One design has many versions

A table may come in several lengths, finishes and materials without becoming a completely unrelated product each time. Variants keep those choices organised beneath the shared design.

  • Variants
  • Dimensions
  • Finishes

Specification drives the order

Dimensions, clearances, material samples and technical drawings help clients and designers decide whether a piece will work. Those details remain connected to the version being quoted.

  • Clearances
  • Materials
  • Technical drawings

Lead time is product information

A piece may be in stock, in production or made after an order is placed. Recording its production status and lead time sets clearer expectations from the start.

  • Production status
  • Lead time
  • Availability

Trade buyers need context

Interior designers and other trade buyers may require specification sheets, order quantities, quotations and installation images. These can be shared without reducing the piece to a retail listing.

  • Trade pricing
  • Order quantities

Answers

For Furniture

Can one design have several sizes and finishes?

Yes. Variants can distinguish sizes, materials, colourways, finishes and upholstery choices while keeping the versions connected to one shared design record.

Can I manage stocked and made-to-order pieces together?

Yes. Availability and production information can show which versions are in stock, already in production or made after an order is confirmed.

Can technical documents be kept with the product?

Yes. Drawings, specification sheets, care instructions and other documents can remain with the furniture record and be used when preparing quotations or presentations.

Can custom furniture begin as a commission?

Yes. Bespoke projects can begin with a brief, estimate and approval stages in the commissions blueprint, while the completed design is recorded with its furniture specifications.
